Background

In CMYK mode the C/M/Y/K values go into PDF/EPS as-is (DeviceCMYK, no conversion). SVG and PNG cannot carry CMYK — they hold an RGB approximation for screens.

Style

“Square” is the safest choice for print. The other styles pass our automated decode tests, but always scan the proof with a real phone before a print run.

Error correction

A higher level survives scratches and a logo better, but makes the code denser. With a logo, choose H.

Size & print

PDF/EPS/SVG are vector files in real millimeters: place them in your layout (Illustrator, InDesign, Affinity) and don't rescale. Keep the quiet zone clear of text and graphics.

The standard asks for at least 4 modules of clear space around the code.
